Milk Chocolate Pie Cookies from Pie Crust Scraps - lewellenforneved

This month is bound to blow by and my thoughts are 100% occupied by Thanksgiving. We are planning out our Thanksgiving menu, and the aftermath. I know that nigh people don't think of the leftovers, just I arrange. For nonpareil thing, I necessitate to have posts set to go to facilitate others eat up their leftovers. Things same these, Miniskirt Handpies, and Mashed potato cakes are great ways to eat the leftovers so you don't feel like you are eating Thanksgiving for every repast, for an entire workweek.

However, one thing that is tricky is dessert. It seems to me that I always have scraps of pie shell, or leftover ingredients for inside of the pie (pumpkin puree seems to linger in my fridge for out-of-the-way excessively long).

I realize that many a of you probably already do this, just I've been jiggered to find that the more I talk to readers and friends the to a greater extent people evidence Maine that they've never done anything with their pie scraps. Growing up I accustomed dilly toy in the kitchen until the pie crust was in the pan and the refuse scattered on the replication. It was then that my mom would get down a biscuit sheet and make "pie cookies" for us kids. OH my goodness, the olfaction was amazing, and although they were blazing radioactive straight out of the oven, I could not wait and would totally risk burned fingers and lingua upright to delight the flaky, sweet goodness. And I've personally found that many kids would rather hold the "pie cookies" than the actualised PIE! Which is clearly pure craziness, merely we bequeath go with it.

*I ingest to add a promptly note, our friends really buy pre-made pie crusts and so they make these cookies without e'er making the PIE. What a slap-up idea for a quick treat that everyone loves!

Pie Cookies

1 Precooked Pie Crust (see Here for a homemade recipe)
Cinnamon Sugar
1/3 Cup Milk or White Chocolate Chips

Heat the oven to 400 degrees.

Roll your Proto-Indo European dough and cut into strips. I've found that doing different shapes and sizes are Sir Thomas More diverting for the kids. Sprinkle munificently with cinnamon wampu, and place on a cooky sheet.

Broil for 8-12 minutes and remove from the oven. Let cool for a minute or two.

Interim, run the chocolate chips in 15 second increments, stirring in between. Drizzle the cookies with the drinking chocolate and enjoy!
